EDUCATION

We believe that Education should be a cornerstone for Children in our care, not an afterthought. We are also aware that all too often education provided within the care setting is occasionally typified as substandard and little value.

At Ocean Lodge we ensure from the onset education needs are focused upon from the planning stage. The staff team has a fully qualified teacher within it, whose role includes facilitating local education placements in appropriate schools - in fact taking on an advocacy role in terms of liaising and negotiating with the educational authorities. The Management team also has the benefit of consultation / advice from a qualified Head Teacher with over 20 years experience within the Education system secure accommodation setting.

We will provide tutor led education on site in our well resourced education room – this will include computer technology and on line teaching programmes.
